Tammie says Smile! Hello there, Stranger! Welcome to my humble little blog. The name's Tammie, but friends call me Tam (not 'thumb'). Who am I, you ask? I'm not that smart top-scorer girl in your class. I'm not that pretty lass you always see on the streets either. I am passionate, stubborn and emotional. My absolute most favorite thing to do is hanging out with people I care & love. My passion burns for Jesus & photography. I wish to travel more and see more. This blog was created so I get to jot down my feelings. Happenings in life. That is, if I'm not too lazy to update ;) |

JoJo Lum
I love the way she laughs. She has a way of carefree-ness in her. Very friendly. No doubt she has tons of friends. She laughs at anything. And that makes hanging out with her so fun :) and I'm so so so lucky to be one of those people who can say 'Hey, that's MY friend!' We may not be as close as some people think we are, but I still cherish our friendship :) So glad to have known you. And even though we're not going to the same uni.. it doesn't mean our friendship will have a full stop here right? Heres to Jocelyn Lum :) For hitting 20 years old. May she never stop laughing at silly things. May she continue to be this warm and friendly. p/s: I love this picture of you ;) back to top? 3 comments |

Back in Melaka :D
Met up with Cyn on Friday. She's taken, boys xD She said the sour cream pretzel are really nice. And she was right! Love the sour cream pretzel. The white one is actually covered in sour cream. Dark one is covered in chocolate mint :D That night after Youth, I drag everyone to Jonker. Jonker is colorful. Noisy. And hot. As usual. =) Cyn, Qing, W.Sheng and H.Sheng :D Hanging out with them made me miss old times. Huey Sheng brought us for mamak after that. Now, this guy below is apparently very famous for his flying roti canai. My friend was asking him to preform. At first he hesitated. Then he saw me pulling out my camera and he smiled. I was trying to get the camera settings ready but he seemed to be ready to fly the canai already, so I kind of freaked out saying 'wait' (in Chinese) to nobody in particular. This guy smiled and said (in Malay) 'Don't freak, it's just roti canai!' XD So I gave up trying to get the correct settings and start snapping his pictures :D and that explains why my pictures are blurry. But seriously, he was awesome :D Since I didn't get a video recoding, I got one on Youtube, here: Of course he didn't serve us the same roti canai after 'flying' it. haha. It's just for fun. I'm so proud of Melaka after watching him.lol. Next day I met up with ex form6 girls. I missed that face =P lol. that's how she peel prawn. Nancy and mua :) We're funny like that. Nancy couldn't take day off from work..so we had lunch together. It was short but fun. I was just bummed out I can't meet Jocelyn and Karnee. But all in all, it was a really fun trip back. Can we do it again? XD back to top? 7 comments |

Rainbow comes after rain, success comes after struggle.
I did another stop motion project today :)Its still very shaky huh? I should really get a tripod. Well, the main reason why I did this project is cause some of my friends are feeling down lately. I wish I could do something, but this is all I can do, ask you guys to cheer up, which is lame but yeah I'm lame,so yeah. Hahaha. XD This afternoon, it looks like it was going to rain, so I posted a status on my FB: Because I saw a rainbow 2 days ago, after a quick rain. 2 minutes later, my brother called me. 'Tammie! Look, there's a rainbow!' Wish came true! :D The rainbow looks so far in this picture. But at that time, it looks really really close and big. The first time I saw a rainbow at such a close distance. A zoom in on the rainbow: Looking at the rainbow kinda lifted my spirits. One thing I love about Bukit Tinggi is the weather. Its seems like it only takes a few drops of rain to produce a beautiful rainbow :) back to top? 19 comments |

Top 10 things I learnt about being a Receptionist.
10. Never tell a guest 'Maybe you don't know how to on our Astro.' When they ask why they can't watch Astro in their room. You will be laughed at.9. Always smile. No matter what. When guests complain or grumble or demand to talk to the manager. Be as pleasant as possible. 8. Always answer the phone by saying 'Reception, morning/afternoon/evening.' and not 'Hello?' like 7. Don't get easily distracted by a cute guest. 6. Accept the fact that guests will always check in at odd hours. Like 4am in the morning, and they'll expect you to answer questions like 'Where can we have breakfast in the morning?' or 'Where's the toilet?' when your brain is clearly asleep. 5. School holidays and public holidays can be so busy that you wish you can use your legs to pick up the phone. 4. Normal days can sometimes be so boring that you find yourself staring at the clock. And talking to yourself. 3. Be very careful about handling money. This is not Monopoly. 2. It's an advantage if you can speak more then 1 language. But it also means that you'll receive more complains in that language. And the number one lesson I learnt? 1. Always keep track of time. Do not freak out, get dress and run to the office just because you think you're 2 hours late for work- just to find out that it's your off day, like I did. (Unless if you want to be laughed at by your mom and your friend.) Good exercise though. back to top? 9 comments |
