Hello Hurricane
you can't

Speak up or die
Tammie says Smile!

Hello there, Stranger!
Welcome to my humble little blog.

The name's Tammie, but friends call me Tam (not 'thumb').

Who am I, you ask?
I'm not that smart top-scorer girl in your class.
I'm not that pretty lass you always see on the streets either.
I am passionate, stubborn and emotional.
My absolute most favorite thing to do is hanging out with people I care & love.
My passion burns for Jesus & photography.
I wish to travel more and see more.

This blog was created so I get to jot down my feelings.
Happenings in life.
That is, if I'm not too lazy to update ;)

Why me and my sister have a 12 year age gap.
For those who know me, my sister and I are 12 years apart. I'm 19 and she's 8.
The reason why me and my sis has this huge age gap is because I always wanted a sister.

Well in all honesty, I wanted a pony first. I'm serious. I love horses. It's not a coincidence that I'm also born in the year of the horse :)

So yeah, I begged for a pony. It seems ridiculous now but, hey, I was 9. And all 9 year old girls like me would want a pony. It's like a phase we go through.

So I had the I-WANT-A-PONY attitude until I realize that's never going to happen.

Sadly, I found out that to keep a pony
1. We need a large area for it to run and keep healthy.
And uhm..the garden outside my house is only enough to fit 2 rabbits.

2. I also realize that it's virtually impossible for my dad to buy a pony.
Uhh.. 'cause they don't sell ponies in Pasar Malam like they sell hamsters..

3. And even if they do sell ponies in Pasar Malam, it's going to cost a bomb.
That was just a guess. I was 9 years old then. So now, being 19 and having access to the internet, I google 'how much does a pony cost'
WikiAnswers said $900000. Man, I was smart at 9. lol.

So slowly my 'I-WANT-A-PONY' dream faded. And I started wanting a baby to play with at home. I have plenty of baby cousins but they had their own homes.. So.. I pester my mum. Again.

I suspect by this time, my parents just want me to shut up so they gave in.
Haha! I'm kidding, Rachel!

Actually the truth is, I did pester them for another sister.

But I guess they didn't take me seriously at first. Just like my pony dream. They think it's another phase their crazy daughter is going through.
I was 11 by then. And one hack of a persistent girl.

Since I never got the pony I wanted, I am even more determined to get a baby sister.
Slowly, I can see they started to consider my request.
I mean,
1. A baby doesn't cost $900000 for them.
2. They can make me shut up.
3. They actually think about the future, when both me and my brother have both gone out to work or study, there's still a kid left at home for them to nag care for (or the other way around).

So when I turned 12, I got a baby sister.
And that's the story of why me and my sister have a 12 year age gap.
'cause of my and my crazy dream xD
She's still the best thing that's ever happed to me.
my baby sister.
